We are pleased to announce that World Handwashing Day has arrived this year, too. Celebrated every year on 15 October, this day aims to raise awareness of proper hygiene rules and the particular importance of washing hands with soap.

The initiative, launched by the Global Handwashing Partnership, is a great opportunity to develop creative ways to promote handwashing, and control the spread of infections.

Why is it still important to have your hands clean ?

This year’s theme, “Why Clean Hands Matter?”, highlights that while significant progress has been made in hand hygiene, handwashing continues to play a key role in maintaining health. The COVID-19 pandemic and other public health crisis have demonstrated that handwashing is the primary means of protection against infections, diseases, and harmful bacteria in all communities.

Now, we invite you  to reflect on the following question yourself: ” Why is handwashing still important?” We are eagerly waiting for the answer on our social media platforms.
