Halloween Traditions

Halloween has its roots in the traditions of the Celts who believed that on this day the boundary between the world of the living and the dead became narrower. People used a variety of methods to protect themselves from returning spirits, including carving pumpkin lanterns, and donning terrifying costumes, among other things.  Nowadays, many people have fun on this evening, and children take great pleasure in disguising themselves as fierce characters.
